Kieran completed his Master’s degree in Violin Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, where he studied violin with John Crawford. He has a first-class undergraduate music degree from Royal Holloway University of London, where he studied violin with Anna Cashell.
Since then, Kieran has been involved in many musical projects, from orchestral playing with Siegfried Camerata and others, to session recording both from his own home studio and in commercial studios. He was a wandering violinist entertainer at Sandown Park Racecourse; played with progressive rock band The Connoisseur; performed in the chamber group Duo Realia; arranged and performed music for weddings and events, and was a beat maker for an international comedy rap group with over 2 million views on YouTube, while also masterminding the collaborative YouTube band CatHatFiddle.
Kieran has taught both violin and music theory privately to all levels for over a decade, both in person, and online over Zoom. Before moving to Stratford-upon-Avon, he worked for the Surrey Arts Music Service for 9 years, doing everything from individual teaching to group teaching, whole class teaching, orchestral tutoring for junior strings orchestras and county-level youth orchestra, conducting and running a senior strings orchestra, and even producing audio and video recordings of at-home performances during the pandemic.
Kieran is a skilled in audio and video production as well as coding and app creation. You can find many examples of his video and audio work on the portfolio page, and a range of music theory apps created for his students on the apps page. This website was created by Kieran from scratch and is home hosted.
